A guide to Real Estate Websites
There are thousands of real estate websites that you can find in the Internet. Here's my review of a few of the top ones:
- Zillow.com
- one of the tops sites for getting an idea of real estate values
- Trulia.com
- another website for getting estimates combined with listings of property. Doesn't seem as up to date as Zillow
- Lots of people like to use foreclosure websites. There are a number of foreclosure websites. Get a 7-Day FREE trial with RealtyTrac! Find a foreclosed property now!

- REIClub.com
- This is a teaser site designed to give you partial information in the hopes that you will buy high priced real estate investing courses from the guru's. There are lots of articles by category and by investor and lots of courses to spend money on. I've read a lot of the article and they will provide some generalized knowledge - just enough for you to want more.
- Lease2Purchase.com
is simply a web site to sell a real estate course about lease-purchasing (what I call
Rent to Own)
. Not much to see here unless you want the course
- CREonline.com
- this website is much like REIClub listed above. The main purpose is to sell you real estate investment courses from the guru's. It has many articles that provide pretty good information, but there is always a sales pitch at the end.
- BiggerPockets.com
is one of the best websites for real estate investors. The articles seem to have a little more depth and the attempt to sell you an expensive real estate investing course is not as obvious. In addition, BiggerPockets has the best real estate forum.
- CarletonSheet.com
- a big scam site to get your money. He targets novices with the main purpose of exploiting their lack of knowledge to maximize his income.
- InvestmentPropertiesInfo.com
seems like a decent site. There doesn't seem to be as much hype and not a big push for you to buy courses.
- ClaudeDiamond.com
- one of the most outrageous lease-purchase sites on the net. His fees are mind boggling and his material and approach are a real turn-off to me.
- RealEstateCourseReviews.com
- this is basically a site that offers glassey-eyed promotion of real estate investing courses without much of a critical review. Use
John Reeds reviews
for a more realistic view.
While there are many websites available, most are just marketing tools. Buying
real estate books
is the most effective use of your money as a beginner. Read what is written on most real estate websites with a grain of salt. Keep your credit card number to yourself.
